Imhotep Ltd release AtenPly- new thermoplastic prepreg range
Imhotep Ltd have great pleasure in introducing AtenPly, named after the Egyptian sun god Aten, it is a continuous fibre reinforced thermoplastic composite prepreg tape.
It is made direct from the fibre roving and thermoplastic melt using proprietary technology developed by Imhotep Ltd. This cost– effective efficient process produces light weight, high-strength ,well impregnated, smooth tape with unidirectional fibre reinforcement.

- AtenPly can be made using any continuous fibre such as most types of carbon, glass, and/or aramid.
- AtenPly can be made using a wide variety of thermoplastic matrices from Polypropylene, polyethylene, and other commodity plastics through engineering plastics such as PET, polyamides. Through to high performance plastics such as PEEK, and PPS as well as elastomers.
- AtenPly can incorporate Colours, UV stabilisers, coupling
agents and many other additives.
