We are not in to producing expensive reports on the 'philosophy of composites', we find real practical solutions to problems whether it be in processing, design, materials or manufacture. 	Our Areas of Expertise In order to develop the novel process technology for manufacturing thermoplastic composites Imhotep Ltd have had to pull together expertise from both thermoplastic and thermoset matrix composites, thermoplastic processing mechanical characterisation, and modelling fields. This enables us to offer a unique combination of services to our clients. We can offer consultancy help for many types of composite manufacturing, process optimisation, process modelling, mechanical characterisation, profile and part design, prototyping etc. For a full description see our composites consultancy page. Development of Process Technology Refinement of bespoke advanced process technology to produce your product be it a profile or prepreg with or without inserts such as fibre-optics or cables with a wide range of thermoplastic matrices and your choice of glass, aramid or carbon fibres. This development can either be with a view to licensing further down the line or for us to manufacture. See our Process development page for more details. Prototype manufacture With our advanced production facility we can run prototype profiles or prepregs in novel fibre/matrix combinations for client evaluation. We also have mechanical test facilities to characterise new materials in-house.
